Ford Trucks, which recently stepped into the Western European market with its dealer openings in Portugal and Spain, made a new move in its growth in Europe and the international arena with the new facilities it opened in Poland and Lithuania. Ford Trucks is strengthening its sales and after-sales network in Eastern Europe with its collaborations with Q-Service Truck in Poland, Europe's fourth largest heavy commercial market, and with Autokurtas in Lithuania, which stands out with its steadily growing truck market. With these openings, Ford Trucks is getting closer to its goal of being present in 44 countries with a dealership and distributor network by the end of 2019, and aims to make 50 percent of its exports to Europe in the coming period.

 

Ford Trucks' international growth journey, accelerated by the success of its "International Truck of the Year (ITOY) award-winning" new tractor F-MAX, developed and produced from scratch, continues with new dealer openings in Poland and Lithuania.

 

Combining Ford's 60 years of experience in truck production as the only heavy commercial vehicle production center worldwide with the ability to develop products for different export markets, Ford Trucks will expand its dealership and distributorship network covering Asia, Europe and Africa to 44 countries by the end of 2019, and by the end of 2023. It aims to reach more than 80 countries.

 

Entered Europe's 4th largest heavy commercial vehicle market

 

An important step towards this goal was the dealer opening in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, the fourth largest heavy commercial vehicle market in Europe. Ford Trucks collaborated with Q-Service Truck, a subsidiary of Intercars Group, the largest automotive spare parts importer and distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, in Poland. In this context, Ford Trucks products will be delivered to fleet owners and heavy commercial sector stakeholders in Poland through a wide dealership network covering the cities of Jaworzno, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Łódź, Kraków and Szczecin, as well as Warsaw.

 

In Lithuania, the country's first Ford Trucks facility was opened in Kaunas in cooperation with Autokurtas, which has 20 years of experience in the heavy commercial and spare parts industry. Autokurtas, which has one of the largest after-sales service networks in Lithuania, and Ford Trucks trucks and tractors will be offered to buyers in four cities including Kaunas, Vilnius, Siauliai and Klaipeda.

Ford Trucks Deputy General Manager Serhan Turfan, in his evaluation of the openings, said, “The ITOY award-winning F-MAX, which changed the color of competition in the heavy commercial vehicle sector, attracted great attention in Europe as well as all over the world. Based on this interest and demand, we advanced our entry into the Western European market and opened our first dealers in Spain and Portugal at the beginning of October. Now we are happy to launch our services in two important markets for the European market. Our new collaborations in Poland, the fourth largest truck market in Europe, and Lithuania, which has a sustainable growth chart, will contribute greatly to our international growth. Pointing out that Europe is the main export market for Ford Trucks, Serhan Turfan said, “We have determined our goal for the coming period as 50 percent of our exports to Europe. "The great prestige and demand brought by F-MAX will contribute greatly to achieving this goal," he said.
